Dr. Joseph Mayer, co-founder and CEO of health tech startup Cureatr, is a leader in American healthcare, a licensed physician with experience as a clinician and in clinical research. Cureatr is a network of Care Transition Notifications™ paired with a robust care coordination platform.
In 2011, Dr. Mayer founded Cureatr during his residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, where he experienced frustrating delays in communicating with other care providers while working in the ER. His experiences and his research revealed that this was an issue occurring in hospitals across the United States, and he created Cureatr as a way to resolve this communication disconnect.
Prior to Cureatr, Dr. Mayer founded two other technology and data companies. He founded Inomaly in 2007, a company that develops applications in order to enable users to find anomalies or important events within their datasets. Before Inomaly, he founded Unwired in 2006, taking the company from a startup to being awarded a government contract to build a regional wireless network in The Netherlands. Dr. Mayer holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and an M.D. from Columbia University.
