Ed Simcox is Logicalis’ United States Healthcare Practice Leader, responsible for strategy, solution development, and business development. The position is a natural fit for Ed who has a long history in the healthcare vertical. Ed works with Logicalis’ sales teams to engage with healthcare clients in a consulting capacity, and acts as a featured speaker at healthcare events and user group meetings. He is considered a key opinion leader on topics such as the impact of legislation on Health IT, telehealth policy and strategy, and the effective use of data to create a healthier world.
Prior to joining Logicalis, Ed worked as the director of healthcare strategy and offer development for AT&T’s ForHealth healthcare product team, the first team at AT&T dedicated to telehealth, mhealth, HIE, VNA and other market-leading solutions. Prior to joining AT&T, Ed served as the director of information services and director of enterprise technology planning at Indiana University Health; during this time, Ed was awarded ComputerWorld’s Laureate Medal and IU Health received Hospitals and Health Networks’ “Most Wired Hospital” award based on Ed’s work with emerging technologies in healthcare. An attorney, Ed has also served as the president and CEO of an independent IT and technology-law consulting firm.
Ed is an alumnus of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award and graduate of the Indiana Leadership Forum. He has been a presenter and Board member for the American Telemedicine Association, a member of the Gartner Emerging Technology Council, a HIMSS presenter and member, and a speaker at an MIT Enterprise Forum held at Harvard Medical School.
